Stacey Marcus, of the Marblehead Reporter, wrote:
"I was instantly smitten with the Follen Angels and their unique presentation of music. The group has the robust talent of a big band coupled with the intimate charm and allure of a glamorous piano bar entertainer from a sequined era. All in all, it was a toe tapping good time that made me want to don an evening gown, color my lips ruby red and sip a bubbly glass of champagne"
The Follen Angels will fill the air with the incomparable melodies and sophisticated lyrics of Irving Berlin, Rodgers and Hart, and more great composers. Some much loved songs include "Blue Skies," "Johnny One Note," "Steppin' Out With My Baby," "Bewitched," " Cheek to Cheek," "What'll I Do?," "My Funny Valentine," and many more favorites.

The Follen Angels are glad to announce three exciting shows coming up 2009 season!
April 11 Saturday : "Irving Berlin, Rogers & Hart, and Friends" at Marblehead Little Theater in Marblehead, MA
Following their sold-out performance in December, the Angels make their second appearance at Marblehead Little Theater with more wonderful melodies from beloved American Songbook.
May 30 Saturday: "An Evening with Gershwin & Cole Porter" at the Metropolitan Room in NY city, NY
The Metropolitan Room was voted the best Cabaret by New York Magazine in 2008. Angels make their first appearance with their acclaimed Gershwin and Cole Porter show.
The Follen Angels are back at Scullers Jazz Club! We make our 6th return to Scullers with our new production of Broadway show-stoppers.
We carefully chose the best songs from some of the most beloved Broadway shows: Mame, Chicago, Gypsy, South Pacific, Damn Yankees, and many more.
Joining the Angels are award-winning Boston musical theater and cabaret artist Brian De Loreonzo, who has a strikingly beautiful tenor voice, and Jeanne LaForgia, whose soprno voice is pure and sparkling. Jeanne performed and recorded as a member of the Follen Angels for several of the erly years of the early group. This show promises to be a spectacular reunion for us.
In addition, Brad Hallen (on acoustic bass) rounds out this exceptional group of musicians.
We Angels perform our favorite Broadway such as Some People (Gypsy), I Have Dreamed(The King and I), Bosom Buddies (Mame), Suddenly Seymour (Little Shop of Horrors), Fugue for Tinhorns (Guys and Dolls), Three Friends (Closer Than Ever) with exciting arrangements that enhance the already great melodies and smart lyrics.
This is a hot show, guaranteed to keep you warm on a cold winter evening.
